My Favorite Midlife and Menopause Bloggers

One of the main reasons that I wanted to start Midlife It is to help support other women. So I thought it would be fun to share with you some of my favorite midlife blogs. After all, the more we support each other, the easier midlife is for all of us!

When you’re going through perimenopause and menopause, bloggers can offer the information, inspiration and entertainment that help you navigate the journey. Through their blog posts, they document the way that midlife changes their bodies and lives, and how they are approaching this exciting but scary stage of life.

These are just a few of my favorite menopause and midlife bloggers, and I’ll add more to this selection in the future.

Menopausal Mother

Menopausal Mother explores ‘the good, the bad and the ugly of menopausal mayhem’ and doesn’t that just sum up what we’re all going through?

This midlife blog is written by Marcia Kester Doyle, and her site is packed full of the most outrageously funny stories that will leave you crying with laughter. But as well as the menopause humor, it’s also got really useful information about the issues that affect us all in midlife, from health insurance to how to deal with menopause symptoms.

Midlife Mixtape

If midlife changes have left you feeling unsure of your place in the world, then Midlife Mixtape is the blog for you. Nancy Davis Kho is the Gen Xer behind this midlife blog, and she describes her site as being ‘for the years between being hip and breaking one’.

This blog is like having a chat with a very good friend. And if your busy life makes it difficult to find time to read, you can listen to Nancy’s very popular podcast. She discusses everything from menopause entrepreneurs to taking a midlife gap year. It’s perfect to pop on in the car or in the gym.

Midlife Margaritas

My favorite midlife blogs leave me feeling like I’ve enjoyed a drink and a chat with one of my girlfriends. And Midlife Margaritas definitely does this.

Missy Farrow is the midlife blogger behind Midlife Margaritas, and she says she’s ‘living the Margarita life, one laugh at a time’.

If you’re feeling down or just need some entertainment, Missy’s stories are the perfect tonic. They’re the sort of relatable stories that leave your sides aching from laughing. Pass the margarita pitcher, Missy!

Midlife Chic

Now, as well as the menopause and midlife advice, you may well be looking for style inspiration. After all, what suited us in our college days isn’t necessarily what we want to wear in midlife.

Enter Nikki Garrett, former editor of Selfridges’ magazine and the blogger behind Midlifechic. This is the blog to read if you’ve spent the last 20 years raising a family and now find yourself feeling like you’ve lost your groove.

Nikki’s super stylish blog will have you glammed up in no time!

midlife Rambler

If you’re suddenly facing an empty nest, Katy at Midlife Rambler knows just how you’re feeling. Her website seeks to give midlife women ‘everything they need to know to live their very best life’.

And she really means EVERYTHING: from health and fitness, to food and travel, to midlife relationship advice. Katy is one of those midlife bloggers who really gets it, and reading her posts is sure to make you feel seen.

So now it’s over to you - which midlife and menopause bloggers do you enjoy reading?
